Leaders on the front lines have one of the most challenging positions in an organization. Combine this with the remote workforce of the homecare, home health and hospice industry, and this challenge intensifies! PHA’s Professional and Leadership Development Academy, specifically designed for emerging and potential leaders, frontline supervisors and mid-level managers, provides insight into personal behavioral tendencies and human interactions, giving participants a deeper understanding of themselves and how to lead others.

The distinguishing characteristic of this innovative program is the structure. To achieve the deepest levels of learning, facilitators Dr. Tonya Miller, TYM Coaching, and Amy Lafko, MBA, Cairn Consulting Solutions, combine assessment tools, individual coaching and dynamic in-person workshops focused on interactive learning. This structure not only makes learning interesting and fun, but it fosters real world application. Included in the program:

  • Talent Insight (DISC) assessment for each participant
  • Two full-day, in-person sessions
  • Individual, 1:1 coaching session 
  • Toolbox of leadership skills participants can apply the next day


Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your reservation for any reason, please notify PHA in writing via email to [email protected]. If the notice of cancellation is received PRIOR to the day of the event/workshop, PHA will provide a credit, minus a 30% administrative fee. This credit must be used within one year of the date of issue on educational programming. Credit will not be accepted for membership dues or PHA’s Annual Conference. No credit will be given for no-shows or cancellations on the DAY OF or following the event/workshop. Substitutions are permitted up to the day of the event.
